Eileen's

In designing the interiors for Eileen’s Charcoal Grill, I wanted to create a moody, multi-textured and sophisticated aesthetic that sets the scene for intimate dining.

The elegant steakhouse sits in a newly constructed narrow building adjoining Newtown’s historic Sawyers Arms Tavern. With a rich blue palette, tartan carpet, and a marble bar, the space embodies the polished simplicity of classic European bistro dining.

The walls are layered with photography and Geelong memorabilia curated by local philanthropist Bob Gartland. These pieces come alive under skylights by day and soft feature lighting by night, adding warmth and storytelling to the interior.
