Two Noble
Two Noble is located on the top floor of the iconic Sawyers Arms Tavern. The design approach reflected our intention to reinvent and transform the space, while seamlessly integrating a new dining concept and cuisine into the established venue.
“Two Noble gives the Newtown venue another identity, and we wanted to really activate the space and create a destination that reflects the venue’s values and the tailored Asian fusion menu.”
The interior design was influenced by the style of cuisine — the intent was to create a warm and relaxed yet refined space with subtle nods to the Asian-fusion menu through the selection of materials, suspended lanterns, and curated artwork.
A palette of soft greens, fluted glass, black accents and natural timbers across the floor, furniture and joinery creates a warm and textural backdrop. This palette highlights the beautiful marble elements and suspended lighting installation, with the marble’s unrefined beauty adding depth and richness to the space.
“We had a lot of fun with the lighting installation — creating a cloud of suspended lanterns, a modern take on the traditional Asian street lantern — a nod to the restaurant’s Asian-fusion cuisine.”
“I love the selected marble that features on the bar and all joinery elements — kitchen servery, wine displays and waiter stations. The rich, natural tones really ground the palette.”
