The project is defined by its sophisticated palette, the layering of neutrals and textural elements and the stunning natural dolomite, the hero finish throughout the spaces.

Located in the leafy suburb of Hawthorn, Melbourne, the internal renovation of this Hawthorn House was designed with considered spatial planning, refined detailing and a selection of beautiful materials to elevate this period home and create a timeless aesthetic for this families everyday living.

The soft tones and modern shaker style throughout the cabinetry, paired with the selected handmade tiles, natural stone and refined timber detailing to reflect the floorboard tones, creates a beautiful dialogue between old and new - a nod to the period, but through a contemporary lens.

This renovation breathes new life into the character-filled period home. By preserving the homes existing features and heritage elements and elevating the interior while reworking the floorplan and layouts for modern living.

The design celebrates the existing high ceilings, decorative moldings, cornices, period details and outlook, by allowing the new aesthetic to sit seamlessly alongside the original character of this beautiful home.
